In this week's word Pastor Tye discussed "Discernment" Here are some notes to carry you throughout your week: Do you wish you had more time? How do we deal? Your focus reveals your distractions. Do you have a hard focus? Concentrate on have a nonnegotiable focus. You will know your distractions if you have your nonnegotiable. -when Peter made Jesus his hard focus’s he walked on water. - We have to focus until something else comes. - We never move forward because we allow other people's issues to become ours. - Don’t let the same cycles keep you from walking forward. - Before Peter had to walk on water he had the hard focus. The storm was already there. - We live from authority to authority. The children of Egypt - They are out of Egypt, and they were distracted by the WAY they were freed. - Rebuke the complaining spirit. - Do not complain about the way he is healing you, he is healing you! When you first wake up you are still between spirit and mind. ~ It's time to get uncomfortable ~ - Don't long to be comfortable. - Sometimes God isn't tearing you up he's preparing you to come out stronger. - Don't lay that long. Disadvantages of comfort zones and how it can help you - We choose comfort zone because when things are familiar, we don't move. - Without risk or facing your fears you don't really know yourself and you don't really know God. - When you get out of your comfort zone you don't know who you truly are. When you get in the mix you are special The comfort zone affects our ability to learn new things. Familiarity directly correlates to stagnation. The comfort zone is a trap. God's voice is not the voice of ambition! The point of obeying God is REST. That is God's voice, that's what he wants of you. The presence of the Lord makes us uncomfortable. Being comfortable muzzles us. God moves in uncomforting space.
